Kupallie

Kupallie (Kupala Night) is celebrated by slavic nations on the night of June 23/24. It's related to the Sun and prosperity of the land and includes different traditions such as herbs picking (for special wreaths), jumps across the fire or even searches of a magic fern flower.

Here's a Belarusan folk song related to Kupallie:

Kupalinka-kupalinka,
Ciomnaja nočka,
Ciomnaja nočka,
A dzie ž tvaja dočka?

Maja dočka ŭ sadočku,
Ružu, ružu polić,
Ružu, ružu polić,
Bieły ručki kolić...

Kvietački rvie, kvietački rvie,
Vianočki źbirajie,
Vianočki źbirajie,
Śliozki pralivajie.

Kupalinka-kupalinka,
Ciomnaja nočka,
Ciomnaja nočka,
A dzie ž tvaja dočka?
